Last Stop was Akutan

At this point I didn't know what
day it was or where we were!

We had gotten off in Akutan while
the trusy Tusty went to Dutch Harbor.

The people in Akutan were very friendly.

This is the very cool pharmaceutical dispensing machine. Lorraine is
the health aide running the clinic with support from clinical folks at
southcentral foundation.

We and our gear got around by ATV and on foot. All the communities had
boardwalks.

False Pass

The first vehicle off the ferry at each docking was our U-Haul
jam-packed with all our health education materials. This is the
backside of Amanda who was
my cabin-mate on the
trusty Tustamena (aka the trusty tusty)

We had a good time in our cabin.
good roommie!

Chignik

First stop after leaving Homer was Chignik

Every community we stopped in set up the health fair in a
building near the ferry dock. We met and discussed health
issues with folks in Chignik, Sand Point, King Cove, Cold Bay,
False Pass and Akutan.

David graduates from Cal Poly

A fine reunion/graduation was enjoyed by all the Bendersky's to celebrate David's graduation. Here he is victorious, as he should be.
Congratulations on sticking with it and on your new job!

busy June 08

June was a busy month. Joy came from Sacramento to have a little
"retreat." We urban fished at Ship Creek, and she took a fun trip
to Seward.

While Joy was catchin rays in Seward, I was busy with the
AFS students as they prepared to say goodbye to Alaska.
It was hard to say goodbye to Jasmine (third from left).
